A large artificial log packed with smiling people bobs lazily along a winding course. Loudly, it clicks up a lifthill—momentarily pauses—then lurches down a slide. A camera flashes moments before it plunges into the water below. The resulting image is a kitsch souvenir; a snapshot of joyous exhilaration.
On a quiet day, an empty log flume repeats the same journey. But the image captured this time is quite different. Briefly the photo is displayed on a digital screen, and then without ceremony it's automatically erased.
